Bird Maleo

Maleo that is in scientical name called Macrocephalon maleo, it is a kind of medium black bird, which height about 55 cm. It is one of
single genus of Macrocephalon, it has black hair, yellow skin around the eyes, brownies iris, grayish feet, orange pecker, a pink whitish hair in the bottom and also it has a black crest in the head. the crest of male and female bird is the same, but male's crest usually smaller than females's, and male's crest darker than female's.

The endemic animals populatiom in Indonesia was founded in lowland tropical forest in Sulawesi island, especially in central Sulawesi, exactly in Dongala and Luwuk Banggai regency and also Maluku province (in Kailolo village). Maleo nest in opened sand area, around volcano area and warm area to incubate their eggs, Maleo's eggs size around 5 fold of hen eggs. after incubate, cheeper of maleo dig way out from the ground and hiding in the forest. Cheeper of maleo that has been could fly must feed by it self and keep of from the predator.
